How do I raise my hand?

1. Tap anywhere on the iPad screen to show the navigation pane.
2. Tap ‘Participants’.
3. Tap ‘Raise Hand’ from the menu items at the bottom of the pop-up window.
4. Your teacher will get a notification on their screen that you have raised your hand.

How do I unmute my microphone and/or turn on my webcam?

1. Tap anywhere on the iPad screen to show the navigation pane.
2. To unmute – Tap ‘Unmute’ (red crossed out microphone).
3. To turn on webcam – Tap ‘Start Video’ (red crossed out video recorder).

What types of items can I share in the Zoom iOs app?

There could be a moment in class where your teacher asks you to share your screen with the class. There are several options for this.
1. Tap anywhere on the iPad screen to show the navigation pane.
2. Tap Share Content with the green box and arrow.

• Screen – Share anything on your iPad from any app.
• Photos
• iCloud – Share anything from your files that are saved in iCloud Drive.
• We do not use Box, Dropbox, or Google Drive.
• Microsoft OneDrive – Share any file (Word Doc, PowerPoint Presentation, pdf, etc.) and Zoom will format for sharing.
• Website URL – Paste in any web address to share that webpage.
• Bookmark – Share a website you already have bookmarked in Safari.
• Whiteboard – Get a blank whiteboard screen to write on.

How do I share my screen in the Zoom iOS app?

There could be a moment in class where your teacher asks you to share your screen with the class. There are several options for this. In this example I will share my Notability screen.

1. Tap anywhere on the iPad screen to show the navigation pane.
2. Tap ‘Share Content’ with the green box and arrow.
3. Tap ‘Screen’.
4. Tap ‘Start Broadcast’.
   **Note** Once you have tapped Start Broadcast, you will see a 3 second countdown timer. This is the countdown to when everyone will see your screen. This gives you the opportunity to bring up Notability, or any other app, without everyone seeing everything on your iPad.
   **Note** If Start Broadcast does not appear, tap Zoom in the center box. 5.
5. Press the Home Button.
6. Tap ‘Notability’ to open the app and choose the correct file if it is not already open.
7. You will receive a pop-up notification when you screen is being broadcasted.
8. To Stop Broadcast, tap the red bar or red record oval at the top of the screen.
9. Tap ‘Stop’.
10. Tap the red bar or red record oval at the top of the screen.
11. Tap anywhere on the screen (outside the middle square) to return to Zoom.

How do I see the Gallery View of webcams?

1. Tap anywhere on the iPad screen to show the navigation pane.
2. Tap ‘Switch to Gallery View’ in the top left corner.
   The screen will adjust based on how many participants are in the Zoom Conference. You will see no more than 9 on a page. Swipe left and right to view other pages.

How do I give a thumbs up to my teacher?

1. Tap anywhere on the iPad screen to show the navigation pane.
2. Tap ‘More’.
3. Above ‘Chat’ you can tap ‘Thumbs Up’ or ‘Applause’.
